Welcome to Carlyle Orthodontics! We’re thrilled that you’ve chosen us for your family’s orthodontic needs. Following is a look at everything you need to know about being a new patient with Carlyle Orthodontics and what to expect during your first orthodontic solutions appointment.
The First Orthodontic Solutions Visit
When you arrive at our office, the first thing we’ll do is have a team member review your medical files and ask you what you’re looking for in orthodontic solutions. We’ll ask you about your goals and about any concerns you might have before setting you up in the exam room.
Keeping your needs in mind, we provide new patients with a full-mouth series of digital x-rays to assess your dental health and the health and shape of the anatomical structures in and around your mouth. Dr. Carlyle will then complete a thorough examination of your teeth, bite, and oral tissues.
Following the examination and photo review, Dr. Carlyle will recommend the best treatment options to meet your personal needs, goals, and budget constraints. A treatment coordinator will work with you to discuss the finer details of the treatment procedure, including how long it will take and what you can expect throughout the process.
Our goal in this discussion is to ensure that you have a clear picture of the necessary treatment and that you understand everything you need to in order to make an informed decision about whether to proceed with treatment.
Follow-Up Appointments
Your first consultation and your appointment to get your orthodontic solution—whether it’s braces, expanders, Invisalign, etc.—will be your longest, generally averaging between one and two hours. But after these first two major appointments, regular follow-up and check-in appointments to measure how the treatment is proceeding will all average between 20 and 40 minutes.
These appointments will be made at regular intervals 4 to 8 weeks apart, depending upon your treatment, and during our regular office hours of Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Please note that we are an appointment-only office—this allows us to ensure that all patients receive prompt and personalized attention for the best customer service.
Making Financial Arrangements
We believe that all orthodontic solutions should be affordable and achievable. To accomplish this, we are happy to help new patients with filing the necessary paperwork to optimize the reimbursement of their dental plan benefits. We are considerate of budget constraints and will discuss fees and available payment options in full before your treatment begins.
Carlyle Orthodontics is also proud to offer a range of payment plans that are budget-flexible, including a special no-down-payment option. Patients who are able to pay in full at the onset of treatment will receive a discount. Our office is equipped to handle most major credit cards.
Online Access to Patient Paperwork
We know your time is valuable. That’s why we strive to make everything as streamlined and efficient as possible, including offering the necessary new patient paperwork right here on our website. Please feel free to download and print it so that you can fill it out at your convenience. Once you have completed it, you may either fax or email us a scanned copy, or bring it into our office at the time of your first appointment.
